Specializing in Children and Teens struggling with anxiety, depression and school issues in Pasadena, MD

About Ashley Augustine

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Maryland. I have a strong background in creative and play therapy approaches. In my 12 years of working with children and teens, I believe that all kids can be helped with the right support.

Creative play is a key approach to working with children and teens. Giving them the opportunity to express themselves without direction and on their own terms allows for more expression from clients and more growth.

I also work with young adults who are transitioning into the world and need support. As well as adults who struggle with parenting and relationships.

My Approach

When working with children and teens- I use creative play and creative arts activities/strategies to support my work.

When working with adults, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychoeducation, and a Strengths Based approach to support them.

Clients who work best with me

√ Clients who don’t require structure in their work with me.

√ Clients who are open to creative ways to meet their goals.

√ Clients who understand that its a process and/or that it will take a while with your child to reach their end goals.

√ Clients who have the supports (like parents) who want them to improve their behaviors or emotions.

Fun facts about me

When I am not working I am outside and playing with my family and dog.

I enjoy trying new things and traveling.
