Internship Application

Welcome to our Internship Program

Apply for an Internship

The Turning Stone Counseling Internship Program offers structured, hands-on learning experiences for emerging professionals seeking opportunities in clinical counseling, business management, marketing, and administrative operations.

Our internships are designed to provide more than observation or required hours. Interns receive guidance, meaningful responsibilities, opportunities for reflection, and practical experience within a growing behavioral health organization.

An internship should help you understand not only what professionals do, but also how they think, communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and grow. Through our Internship Programs, interns are welcomed into a learning community where they can develop practical skills, receive feedback, explore professional interests, and better understand how their work contributes to the organization’s mission.

Each internship experience is shaped by the intern’s academic requirements, professional goals, availability, current skill level, and the needs of Turning Stone Counseling. Although each internship has different responsibilities and educational requirements, all of our internship experiences are built around the same goal: helping people develop practical skills while contributing to work that matters.

Opportunities to become who you want to be.

Clinical Counseling Internships

Clinical internships are designed for graduate students completing practicum or internship requirements in counseling, social work, or a related behavioral health field. Clinical internships are generally in-person or hybrid and require reliable availability at our practice location. We do not currently offer fully remote clinical placements.

Administrative Internships

Administrative interns gain practical experience with the systems, communication, and coordination required to support a professional healthcare organization. Administrative internships may be appropriate for students interested in healthcare administration, office management, human resources, business operations, or related fields.

Business Management Internships

Business management interns gain exposure to the systems that support a growing behavioral health organization. Assignments are based on current organizational projects, the intern’s educational goals, and the skills they are seeking to develop.

Marketing Internships

Marketing interns help support the connection between Turning Stone Counseling and the communities we serve. Because we operate in a healthcare environment, marketing interns also learn how privacy, ethics, accuracy, and responsible communication shape behavioral health marketing.

What Makes Our Internship Program Different?

Exposure to a Growing Organization

Interns have the opportunity to see how clinical care, administration, operations, marketing, leadership, compliance, and organizational culture work together.

Professional Identity Development

Internships are not only about learning tasks. They are also about discovering how you want to show up as a future professional.

Feedback and Mentorship

Growth requires thoughtful feedback. Interns are expected to ask questions, receive guidance, reflect on their work, and remain open to continued development.

Meaningful Experience

Interns are given responsibilities that support genuine learning and contribute to the organization. Assignments are matched to the intern’s readiness, role, and academic requirements.
